This specific design creates a fun hybrid between a standard ceiling fixture and a customizable pixel display. The unit connects directly to your local network using Matter over Wi-Fi for broad platform integration.
Brightness and Daily Adaptive Lighting
The Ceiling Light Ultra is designed to replace your primary room lighting completely. The hardware outputs 5000 lumens to effectively brighten large spaces without needing additional floor lamps. The fixture features a Color Rendering Index of 95 to ensure natural and accurate colors across your entire room.
The adjustable white light spans from warm 2700 Kelvin to cool 6500 Kelvin. Govee also included an adaptive feature that automatically adjusts the brightness and color temperature throughout the day based on your local time and established routines.
Creative Pixel Control and Animations
The standout feature of this new hardware is the dense matrix of 616 individually addressable LEDs. This setup allows the light to display layered patterns and custom animations instead of basic solid colors. You can use the native application to generate specific lighting effects from simple text prompts or draw your own designs pixel by pixel.
The fixture also includes over one hundred preset scenes and music reactive modes that synchronize the main front panel with the rear backlight.

Govee built the Ceiling Light Ultra with native Matter support over a standard wireless connection. You can add the light directly to Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings. Basic commands like power toggles and temperature adjustments run locally through your preferred Matter ecosystem while the advanced pixel animations remain inside the manufacturer application.
