SwitchBot has launched the RGBICWW Light Bars, a two-piece set that integrates natively into your smart home via Matter over Wi-Fi. The lights work directly with Matter controllers like Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, Home Assistant, and Homey out of the box.
Like most of SwitchBot’s lighting devices, these light bars don’t require a hub. Native Matter over Wi-Fi means setup is straightforward if you’re already using one of the compatible platforms. If you prefer physical controls, the included wired controller gives you ten brightness levels directly on the device without reaching for your phone or voice assistant.
Color Zones, Brightness and Music Sync
Each bar has six color zones, giving you twelve individually controllable segments across both pieces. This lets you create color gradients and multi-tone effects instead of forcing a single color across the entire set. The bars output up to 800 lumens combined with 1 to 100 percent dimming, supported by dedicated warm and cool white LEDs covering 2200K to 6500K.
A built-in microphone picks up music and syncs the lighting to the beat across six different modes. SwitchBot includes 26 preset scenes, so you get both reactive effects and static options depending on what you’re doing. The bars support 16 million colors, which you can activate over Matter just like any other light.
Mounting and Installation
Magnetic mounting lets you attach the bars to compatible metal surfaces, or use adhesive pads for places where magnets won’t work. You can stand them upright, lay them flat, or position them however fits your space. The light bar cable runs about 1.1 meters, and the controller cable is roughly 1.2 meters.
SwitchBot also built in an API for AI agents or local automations. Through Home Assistant or similar platforms, you can use the bars to display status indicators like pulsing light while an agent thinks, flowing effects while it processes, and color signals for completion or errors. It’s an unexpected feature for the price.

The RGBICWW Light Bars are available now through SwitchBot’s official store and Amazon. On the SwitchBot store, they’re priced at US$45.99, or US$36.79 with code FAFA20. Amazon US lists them at US$45.99, dropping to US$36.99 with the available coupon. On Amazon Germany, the bars are priced at €55.99.
