Meross has opened pre-orders for the MSH450P Matter Smart Hub Pro along with four new sensor kits designed to handle temperature monitoring, door and window detection, water leak detection, and programmable controls. The company expects shipments to begin on 28 September.
The hub itself is the only device with native Matter support. The four new sensors, which connect to it over BLE, gain Matter functionality through the hub rather than connecting directly to a Matter network. This bridge approach means they work across Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, and Home Assistant once paired to the MSH450P.
Hub Capabilities and Backward Compatibility
The MSH450P connects to your home network via Ethernet or 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and can handle up to 32 Meross devices simultaneously. Beyond Bluetooth for the new sensors, it retains a 433MHz radio for older Meross accessories, so existing devices don’t become outdated. Users with the previous MSH450 hub can migrate their devices to the new model with a single tap in the app.
The hub includes a speaker for custom voice announcements when events occur, such as door openings or water leaks, with multiple language options available. Local alarms on the hub and connected sensors continue functioning even if your network goes down, ensuring critical alerts still reach you during connectivity issues.
The Four New Sensors
The MS120H temperature and humidity monitor features a 1.9-inch display and measures relative humidity, dew point, absolute humidity, and vapor pressure deficit. It features a built in buzzer and uses replaceable batteries rated for three years.
The MS220H door and window sensor adds vibration detection alongside basic open-close monitoring. It can trigger alerts for doors left open or closed and includes a local buzzer, doorway light, and a button for triggering automations. Battery life sits at three years.
The MS420H water leak sensor expands on what Meross previously offered, now detecting leaks, rain or drips, freezing conditions, and water level changes. A 1.5-meter extension probe reaches difficult locations, and the 100dB buzzer ensures you hear alerts. This sensor carries a four-year battery rating.
The MS700H is a programmable button device with three switchable screens and up to nine custom controls total. It displays temperature and humidity readings and can sound an alert when other devices detect events. Meross rates its battery for two and a half years.
All four devices carry an IP66 rating and operate across -20°C to 60°C.
Pricing and Availability
Meross has opened global pre-orders for the full product range directly through its official online store. The standalone MSH450P Matter Smart Hub is priced at $29.99 during the pre-sale period, marked down from its regular $34.99 retail price.
The individual sensor kits are also available in pre-order bundles that include the necessary hub. The MS120H, MS220H, and MS420H sensor only unit start at $22.99 each, while the MS700H Smart Button kit is listed at $28.99. Official shipping for pre-order purchases is scheduled to begin on September 28th.
