Aqara officially launched the Camera Hub G350 to international markets. Integrating security cameras locally usually requires complex workarounds, making this native Matter certification a highly practical upgrade for local control. This new device delivers high resolution indoor monitoring while doubling as a powerful smart home controller.

The First Matter Certified Camera
The Camera Hub G350 stands out as the first camera to achieve official Matter certification using the new Matter 1.5 standard. Currently only Samsung SmartThings supports Matter 1.5 cameras directly within its ecosystem. Users on other platforms like Apple Home and Google Home can still connect the device using traditional network integrations while they wait for broader Matter updates.
The unit also serves as a complete smart home controller. It functions as a Zigbee hub and a Thread Border Router to manage other accessories within the Aqara ecosystem.
Dual Lens Video and Tracking
The hardware features an advanced dual lens system that pairs a 4K wide angle camera with a 2.5K telephoto lens. This setup provides up to nine times hybrid zoom alongside a motorized pan and tilt mechanism for complete room coverage.
The camera utilizes on device intelligence to track people and pets automatically. It even adjusts its movement speed while zooming to prevent the lens from overshooting the subject.

Privacy and Local Storage
Aqara included a physical privacy shutter that automatically covers the lens when you turn the camera off. The device provides multiple storage options to keep your footage secure. Users can record locally to a microSD card up to 512 gigabytes or back up files to a network attached storage drive.
The camera connects via dual band WiFi 6 to ensure stable video streaming across busy home networks.
